Balkan Beat Box first burst out of New York City's underground music scene in 2005 with a self-titled debut album that introduced the world to its Mediterranean-inflected, globalized electronic sound. Founded by Israeli-born ex-pats Ori Kaplan (ex-Gogol Bordello) and Tamir Muskat (ex-Firewater), Balkan Beat Box built its reputation on explosive live shows, with frontman Tomer Yosef's wild onstage energy sending audiences into an ecstatic frenzy during each performance. This just might be the best party band in the world. DJ Bongohead will be spinning gypsy, bellydance, & Balkan club beats before and after the show.
